Hughes's ex girlfriend is pushing for investigation into his murder but some suspect she killed him. The lead investigator said that it was his ex-girlfriend Melissa that first brought up the idea of suicide to them, but she denies it and says the police are just trying to hide their lack of investigation. This is the couple from Arizona involved in the case of missing 8-mo-old baby Gabriel, whose mother, Elizabeth Johnson, has alternately claimed to have given him away and killed him. Johnson is currently under arrest in Florida and awaiting extradition back to Arizona.
Nancy Grace has been following this story. The couple have appeared on Grace's show several times this week, and were named persons of interest in the missing toddler's case yesterday by police.
The couple were apparently trying to strong-arm Gabriel's bio dad into signing adoption papers. I think they're hiding something big time--hinky meter going way high…

This is a huge story here in our city. A mom goes missing. The husband supposedly takes the kids camping in subzero temperatures at midnight, comes home the next day and rents a car putting hundreds of miles on it, and then claims total innocence as to where his wife is. Brittany Higgs, mom of kidnapped 3 yr old in Fla. Her male friend took him and she seems deceptive.

The friend, Vincent Marchese, took the child and left the hospital in her van without telling her. He was chased by police, rammed a police car. Child was fine, Marchese ran off. I get a strange vibe from her. She seems so unemotional. When discussing Dana being missing she says, "YOU just put the focus on getting HER home, that's all YOU can do....." distancing.
Also, when discussing why they left in Morgan's car without her that night she states, "I mean obviously if we thought.... something bad....we wouldn't have done it if we didn't think it was ok. uhmmmm, but.......you know...." and then she seems to almost grin or show happiness a bit when she continues with her…6 votes -

This is a link to Kate's appearance on the Today Show yesterday. I would love to get your thoughts on two parts of this intervew. First, Kate claims that she has no money to buy food or pay her bills because of Jon taking money out of their joint account - this is between time markers 3:15 and 4:45. Second, Kate claims that she's never dicsussed Jon's assertion that filming is bad for the kids and that the kids are extremely upset that filming has stopped - this is between time markers 7:15 and 8:40. She seems extremely controlled…3 votesOverall, I trust Kate to be honest here. About “Kate claims that she’s never discussed Jon’s assertion that filming is bad for the kids”, I think she is talking about recently since Jon had an instant change of heart and cut off filming.
I think she is well thought out and is able to control herself and her emotions better than most people, and to many she appears controlling, but I do not see it in a negative way. Someone in that family has to keep things together and that burden falls 100% on Kate.
