Mason Jenkins and the murder of his sister Jennifer Jenkins
This is a link to the trailer for a documentary called "Life with Murder":http://www.nfb.ca/film/life_with_murder_clip/
The case is a little old (the murder occurred in 1998), but the "facts" of the case continue to evolve. It's an absolutely gripping documentary, one which I think falls perfectly within your wheelhouse, and it is currently available on Netflix if you happen to have it. A brief synopsis follows:
"Chatham, Ontario, 1998. Eighteen-year-old Jennifer Jenkins is brutally shot to death by multiple rifle rounds in her family home. The main suspect: her brother, Mason Jenkins, who fled the scene of the crime. After fabricating a story about what occurred, Jenkins was incarcerated. His parents, facing the loss of both their children, chose to support his claims of innocence, repressing the dark secret of their son's true intentions. Concurrently shocking and heartbreaking, John Kastner's finely crafted mystery slowly reveals the many layers of a family dynamic that becomes its own enigma, drawing from a decade's worth of coverage, including police interrogation videos, home movies, and incredible interviews with Jenkins, his family, and the case's investigators."
Thanks for considering it.

Yes, Mason's prison accommodations are quite marvelous—I wish my living conditions were that nice.
However, he is imprisoned in Canada, not Michigan.
And, he is clearly a sociopath, so he should be kept in these all-too-comfortable circumstances till he dies, as his aunt suggested.

I watched the documentary with great interest.
Although it is good Mason got some honesty, after 11 years in prison.Because he finally admitted to planning a triple homicide, should not alter his chance for parole.
He should be charged with attempted murder of his parents, abstrution of justice & be incarcerated for the rest of his life.
Nice prison in Michigan...

I took the time to watch the documentary and since i did, will comment. As a parent of adult children, I understand why Bob and Leslie could not abandon their son. I respect it .
And here comes the BUT? In the film, I noticed masons disregard or trivialize his parents presence and efforts. Did anyone else catch that
No respect at all. Which is why this person (Mason) should never be released into society again.
Whats the status on him by the way? I'd like to know. -

Mason Jenk'sins should not be paroled for at least 25 years for killing his sister. He should have been convicted for 2 counts of attempted murder for planning to kill his parents. He is a threat to society since he's been in and out of prison for most of his life. If he is released early, he will be in trouble with the law and will likely commit more serious crimes again, including murder.

I wish I had time to watch a documentary. I don't have Netflix at this time, either. Sorry.
