Do the people here believer the lies and gobbledygook they are spreading? Sounds to me that what they are saying feeds on people's insecurities and a sense of need for a better life (not to mention sense of control when things seem to fall out of hand).
When it comes to Oprah, however, I believe the poor lady is a victim of the lie, much like many others, unfortunately :(... One of the things they say is that we create our reality and circumstances by the choices that we make. But that's not true, we do not control what happens…

I saw this on Dr Phil from an episode originally aired in August 2012. Thomas's sister was found 6 years ago bound and suffocated in the home they lived in with their mother, Melody. The mother allowed the 12 year old son to be interrogated for 5-6 hours. The son denied involvement for the first two hours, then the camera was switched off for several hours while he was still being questioned, then he recited a confession when the camera came back on. Tawana Brawley
I know this is an older case. But was recently in the news due to her wages being garnished due to the fact she was sued back at the time for defemation.
But it is Tawana Brawley. If you are not familiar with the case (the recent article was the first I had heard of it) , this black teenager claimed she was raped in 1987 by several white males to include a police officer. Rev Al Sharpton quickly rose to defend her using racism and claiming there was corruption. Which is safe to say, does happen.
