Lie Detection in the game show Golden Balls
This is a perfect place to practice these skills. Players have to collaborate to win money together. Often one player lies and you find out at the end. What signs of lying do you spot? There are lots of clip examples, here are some good ones:

Face profile
Reading this article, you learn that this woman is a crook, yet her looks show the full lips which you say indicate generosity or kindliness, and her face overall looks pleasant. Landlords have been deceived by her looks. I would like your opinion on her face.

Brettly Wilson
Brettly Wilson was the last person to see Michaela "Mickey" Shunick after a night out with friends. Mickey, a 22 yr old college student, left Brettly's house around 1AM May 19, 2012 headed home on her bicycle, a 4 mile ride she had done often.
Police have located the bicycle, 30 miles away in the Louisiana swamps, but no other sign of Mickey has surfaced. Do you think Brettly knows more than he's telling?
This story has been featured on ABC News, Good Morning America, Nancy Grace, Jane Velez-Mitchell, etc.

Emotions behind screaming
An artist converted a photo booth into only taking a picture if people screamed and reached a certain decibel level.
What I'd be interested in is what type of emotions people call up (seen in their faces) to be able to scream on demand, even knowing that the situation does not really call for you to scream.

I see some red flags here, am not comfortable with his story. He says his son was taken by gang members but is already talking about him in past tense

Jeffrey MacDonald
I'm reading Errol Morris' book about Jeffrey MacDonald and am curious what your opinion is about that case. I searched your site but couldn't find where you had discussed this before. Here is a link to an interview with him on American Justice in 2005.

Robyn Davis and Carol "Sissy" Saltzman
Hi Eyes,
I'd love for you to take a look at the most recent 48 Hours, "Friends for Life". It featured the trial of Robyn Davis and Carol Sissy Saltzman, who were controversially sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Brian Davis in June 2009. The episode features lots of testimony from the pair in this fascinating case:

Can you update George Smith's case?
? It looks like many people (me, you) were wrong about Hagel's involvement. Video of 3 russians that police have had for years! hope it is solved soon. Thnks.
ps Nancy Grace's 30 min weekend show did a summary of it and it was fun to watch her do 180 and say oh poor jennifer, how she was treated the day her husband died!

Ronaiah Tuiasosopo
I noticed you spent considerable time analyzing Manti Te'os interview, and think it would only do justice to the topic to analyze Ronaiah Tuiasosopo's interview as well. I have yet to see it, but they say he comes out as gay and admits to being in love with Te'os. Thank you.

Sandra Layne
Sandra Layne was recently convicted of murder for shooting her 17-year-old grandson. Her daughter (the boy's mother) has an interview on the link; there is also video of the prosecutor cross-examining her and her testifying. She said her grandson was using drugs and she killed him in self-defense.
I'd like to see what you make of this.

Dateline April 10, Behind Closed Doors, Segment 3, time marker 5:28-5:31, http://www.nbcnews.com/id/3032600/#51499832
The wife of a murdered man is responding to the interviewer who is trying to give her credit for at least saving herself and her son. She responds by saying "But I couldn't save him - I couldn't save him"
She is suppressing a smile while saying it. It is quite obvious. I'd love to get your thoughts on it and whether you see other indicators during the show.1 vote
